Hundreds of pieces of postcard-sized art will be exhibited and sold during a fundraiser for the Department of Art in the College of Arts and Sciences Nov. 28-30. The presentation will culminate at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30 in the University Art Gallery, with the postcard art sale and silent auction. The event is free and open to the public, however, if you would like to take home a piece of work, tickets are $40 per person and allow the ticket holder one postcard per ticket.

Friends of the University Art Gallery who renew their membership by Nov. 7 at the BFF level ($100) will receive a golden tiket at the UAG cocktail party and preview of this year's "Project: Postcard."

The artwork is donated and created by alumni, faculty and students, as well as regional, national and international artists. The 5-by-7-inch works of art will be exhibited anonymously and offered for sale. Proceeds will support the development of a new art facility.

“Funds raised through Project: Postcard will be used to support the D.W. Williams Hall Project, which will provide a new facility for our students and the community,” said Julia Barello. art professor and art department head. “Voters approved General Obligation Bond C for $22.5 million dollars for renovation and construction of D.W. Williams Hall, which currently houses the Department of Art and the University Art Gallery. However, an additional $1 million is needed to purchase furnishings and equipment to complete this state-of-the-art facility.”
