She also meets with students to review resumes, practices interviewing skills in preparation for applying to co-op/internship positions and assists with reporting required documentation and paperwork for co-op/internships through Career Services. Additionally, Madrid presents to classes and departments and connects with employers regarding Co-op/Internship opportunities to help them recruit NMSU students.

“My favorite aspect of my job is the student interaction and getting the word out about Career Services and the Cooperative Education and Internship Program,” she said. “It is great to hear when you have helped a student secure an internship/co-op and even greater when their experience leads to a permanent position.”
