Fall 2000 Outstanding Seniors and Graduates announced

The New Mexico State University Alumni Association has announced the Fall 2000 Outstanding Seniors and Outstanding Graduates for NMSU and Dona Ana Branch Community College.

Each semester, the NMSU Alumni Association chooses one outstanding senior from each of the university's undergraduate colleges, one international senior, one graduating student and four outstanding DABCC students. The selection is based on scholarship, leadership and participation.

NMSU's Fall 2000 Outstanding Seniors are Stacie Lee Fletcher of Kent, Wash., College of Agriculture and Home Economics; Lena R. Ulvi of Fairbanks, Ala., College of Arts and Sciences; Linda Ruch of Las Cruces, College of Business Administration and Economics; Amy Mascarenas of Farmington, N.M., College of Education; Kelli Haye of Newman Lake, Wash., College of Engineering; Shauna G. Hervey of Santa Fe, College of Health and Social Services; Simone Bremicker of Roedermark, Germany, Center for International Programs; and Heather Jennings of Organ, N.M., Outstanding Graduate Student.

The Outstanding Seniors from the Dona Ana Branch are Eva Delgado, Business and Information Systems; Alonzo Melton, White Sands Education Center; Ray Ochoa, Technical Studies and Sunny Renee Torbett, Health and Public Services. They were honored at a luncheon in Corbett Center Nov. 28.

NMSU's Outstanding Seniors will be honored at the Alumni Association's 43rd Pre-Commencement Buffet at noon Dec. 16 in the Corbett Center Student Union Ballrooms.
