MORIARTY, N.M. - The New Mexico Crop Production Clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, at the Moriarty Civic Center in Moriarty.
The clinic is sponsored by the New Mexico State University Torrance County Cooperative Extension Service and Thomas Chemical and Fertilizers.
Presentations will be made by Extension specialists from New Mexico State University and representatives from Pioneer and DuPont Corporation.
Topics will include corn seed selection and genetics; Round-Up Ready alfalfa; alfalfa weed management; pesticide licensure updates and requirements; drought-tolerant technology and new developments in bio-technology; seed planter calibration; blister beetle in alfalfa; energy costs and irrigation pumping; and weed control in corn silage and alfalfa crops.
Participants may earn six continuing education units. Lunch will be provided by Shorty's Barbeque.
