4-H Foundation Schedules March 19 Golf Scramble in Las Cruces

LAS CRUCES - Teams can still register for a March 19 golf scramble to benefit New Mexico's 4-H members.

The Jesse Holloway 4-H Golf Scramble, which starts at 1 p.m. at Picacho Hills Country Club, is in memory of the former 4-H state department head who died Nov. 21 in Las Cruces. Holloway established the New Mexico 4-H Hall of Fame in 2002, and held leadership positions in 4-H at the state, regional and national levels.

Proceeds from the scramble will go to the New Mexico 4-H Youth Development Foundation to help send 4-H members to regional and national competitions.

Entry fees of $400 for four-person golf teams or $100 for individual golfers include green fees, cart, sack lunch and dinner cookout. For more information or to register, contact Jimmie Hall, (505) 294-6178; Tim Rabon, (505) 437-2995; or Bobby Ann or Billy Dictson, (505) 647-3908.

If you are an individual with a disability who is in need of an auxiliary aid or service to participate in the scramble, please contact the state 4-H office at (505) 646-3026 before the event.
