LAS CRUCES - Barbara Wise has joined New Mexico State University's College of Agriculture and Home Economics as a development officer.
Wise will help coordinate development activities and plans for the college on a three-quarter time appointment, working with college development officer Ron Gurley.
"I'm looking forward to meeting with the alumni and friends of the College of Agriculture and Home Economics," Wise said. "There are so many opportunities available to help the college strive for excellence with our on-campus students and faculty, and in our statewide research and Cooperative Extension Service work."
For the past three years, Wise was clinical practices administrator for University Physicians Inc. in Tucson, Ariz., where she did development work and monitored a $4 million budget. She previously worked for Pima Heart Associates in Tucson as a human resources manager, administrator and chief operations officer.
She earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Texas Tech University and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska.
