LAS CRUCES - A series of three forums on the future of land-grant colleges of agriculture will be held on April 3 and in the East Ballroom of Corbett Center on the New Mexico State University campus.
The forums will be hosted by a committee of the National Research Council's Board on Agriculture. The first forum at 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on April 3 will accept public comment from clientele of NMSU's College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences , including clients of the Cooperative Extension Service and the Agricultural Experiment Station.
A second forum from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. that day will accept comments from representatives of the college and university. A third forum, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on April 4, will accept comments from representatives of state government and the legislature.
All forums are open to the public, but the committee asks individuals to confine comments to sessions designed for their input.
