Looking to get ahead in the business world? Then New Mexico State University is looking for you. The NMSU College of Business is currently accepting applications for its next Masters in Business Administration class group. Classes start Aug. 20.
The MBA program is the fastest-growing program in the NMSU College of Business. A portion of the program's growth is credited to agreements between the university and Los Alamos National Laboratory and Sandia National Labs to provide MBA courses to their employees.
"The MBA is really the degree of choice for many professionals because the earning potential is significantly higher when compared to other degrees. There is a high demand for these graduates, especially in technical fields," said Bobbie Green, director of NMSU's MBA program. She added that it's common for more students to seek MBA degrees during economic downturns.
The program accepts students with professional work experience as well as those who have recently earned a bachelor's degree. Courses are structured to accommodate those who work while attending school. For the national lab groups, classes take place on their premises through teleconferencing and by actually sending NMSU instructors to the locations.
