Fifty-nine NMSU students selected for "Who's Who in America"

Fifty-nine New Mexico State University students have been selected for the 2001 edition of "Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges."


The selections are based on academic excellence, service to NMSU and the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued achievement. The students will be presented with a certificate of achievement and their accomplishments will be published in the 2001 edition of "Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges."

Following is a list of the selected students, by hometown.

Las Cruces: Reina Acosta, a graduate criminal justice major; Kimberly Alvarez, a senior nursing major; Lucas Carlos Arzabal Jr., a junior majoring in elementary education; William Michael Bullock, a senior majoring in biochemistry; Mark Chaffin, a senior electrical engineering major; Cheryl De Young, a graduate history major; Christina Delgado and Diana Marie Garcia, both seniors majoring in family and child science; Leila E. Diaz, a senior psychology major; Maureen McCamley, a junior mechanical engineering major; Audrey Nicole Moreno, a senior majoring in English; Kourtney T. Muncrief, a family and consumer science major; Victoria Suzanne Pratt, a senior industrial engineering major; April C. Rede, a senior majoring in social work; Rosie G. El Paso: Chris Andrade, a junior elementary education major; Michelle Aponte, a junior majoring in social work; Erika Qui¤ones, a junior community health major; Jennifer Rivera, a junior majoring in electrical and computer engineering; and Audrey Slape, a senior nursing major.

Mesilla: Amanda Clayshulte, a senior majoring in pre-health.

Anthony, N.M.: Jesus Chavarria, a senior studying industrial engineering; and Laura Massie, a junior accounting major.

Albuquerque: Laura E. Boucheron, a senior electrical engineering major; Cassandra Dalrymple, a senior majoring in accounting; Audrey Padilla, a junior majoring in psychology and Spanish; Tiffany Roberts, a junior accounting major; Phoenix Rogers, a senior animal science major; and Misnaton Surodjawan, a graduate criminal justice major.

Alamogordo: Caroline Ann Abercrombie, a junior elementary education major; Sally Schwettmann, a junior majoring in government; and Jennifer Laura Strickland, a graduate engineering psychology major.

Santa Fe: Sisters Rosa and Theresa Cinciripini, both junior government majors.
