SANTA FE The New Mexico Pueblo and Community Agriculture Conference will be held April 17 and 18 at the Santa Fe County Extension building, 3229 Rodeo Rd in Santa Fe.
New Mexico State University's Cooperative Extension Service's Small Farm Task Force and the Northern New Mexico Outreach Project will host the event that will present the latest information regarding agricultural production, targeting small production along the northern Rio Grande corridor and traditional Pueblo agriculture.
Topics of sessions will include specialty crops, farmers markets, soil preparation, alfalfa management, ram selection, beef health and disease prevention, pest control, horse care and calf vaccination demonstration, as well as sessions on diabetes nutrition including a grocery store tour to practice healthy food selection.
