RIO RANCHO - New Mexico State University Aggie alumni and fans will have an opportunity to mingle with Aggie coaches during the third annual Aggie Shootout golf tournament, June 4, at Chamisa Hills Country Club in Rio Rancho.
Coaches Reggie Theus, men's basketball; Hal Mumme, football; Rocky Ward, baseball; Darin Spence, women's basketball; Scott Lieberwirth, men's golf; Paul Brilliant, women's golf; and Pam Bruemmer, women's equestrian; will join Athletic Director McKinley Boston as participants in the four-person golf scramble.
"There are thousands of NMSU alumni in the Albuquerque metroplex," said Charlie Rogers, event organizer. "This tournament will give them a chance to meet the coaches and socialize with them, as well as meet fellow alumni. And it's a great way to support the Aggie Athletic Fund."
Individual entry of $125 and four-player team sponsors of $500 include greens fees, cart, breakfast and lunch. Contact Rogers at (505) 345-1070 or Jim Gray at (505) 350-8394 to register.
"We are also seeking sponsors for holes and tee boxes, as well as the Aggie Shootout breakfast and lunch," Rogers said. The hole and tee box sponsorship is $150, and $250 for the super hole and tee box sponsor, while the breakfast co-sponsorship is $500.
