In addition, everyone using any NMSU campus spaces must comply with state public health orders related to the COVID-19 pandemic, including wearing a mask at all times, maintaining a distance of at least 6 feet between people and not gathering in groups of more than five people.

NMSU buildings are not currently open to the public, and access is only allowed for university business. Guidelines for visitors to campus are outlined as part of the university systemís NMSU Ready comprehensive return-to-campus plan, available online at https://ready.nmsu.edu.

Signs emphasizing mask and social distancing requirements have been installed across the Las Cruces campus. If campus employees, students or visitors see individuals or groups without masks and donít feel comfortable encouraging them to put their mask on, they are asked to call the NMSU Police Department at 575-646-3311 to report the incident, or send an email to covid19@nmsu.edu. Other avenues for reporting problems with compliance involving students or employees include the Dean of Students Office at dos@nmsu.edu or Human Resource Services at hrs@nmsu.edu.
