NMSU to host its annual Aggie Transfer Open House March 8

New Mexico State University’s Undergraduate Admissions and Orientation will host its annual Aggie Transfer Open House Friday, March 8.

This program invites transfer students to come experience a day in the life of an Aggie. Students will meet with academic departments, explore student resources and tour the campus. Students will also have a chance to meet with faculty and staff from their academic department so they can get more information about the program.

“Transfer students need to be most aware of how their credits are going to transfer to NMSU and how those credits will fit into their degree plan at NMSU. We will assist students with preliminary transcript evaluations and finding the degree plan for their intended major. We will also have representatives from financial aid and scholarships, so students can get more information to help reduce the cost of tuition and fees,” said Danielle Staley, associate director of Undergraduate Admissions and Orientation.

Beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Corbett Center Student Union’s Aggie Lounge, prospective transfer students will have the opportunity to attend the Student Resource Fair. The Aggie welcome session follows at 10:15 a.m. At the end of the day there also will be a chance to watch the NMSU baseball team in action against the La Salle Explorers at 6:05 p.m.
