Arrowhead Center at NMSU accepting applications for LAUNCH program

Are you looking to accelerate your idea and move your technology to the market? The LAUNCH program at New Mexico State University’s Arrowhead Center is now accepting applications from local innovators looking to gain valuable advice and guidance before entering the market.

LAUNCH is in its sixth year. The deadline to apply is Nov. 9.

NMSU inventors, innovators and entrepreneurs are eligible to apply for LAUNCH. This year, the program has expanded its marketing, so students, faculty, staff and alumni from NMSU community colleges and branch campuses are highly encouraged to submit applications. Businesses and industry partners are eligible to apply in a team with at least one NMSU student, faculty, staff or alumni member.

LAUNCH is a four-month program intended for teams to test a new and novel technology, find an efficient way to enter the market and experience return on their investments. Teams who apply and are selected for the LAUNCH program are paired with a business mentor and an Arrowhead adviser.

In addition to invaluable mentorship and coaching, the benefits of LAUNCH include customer discovery, an understanding of product market fit and development of a marketing plan and commercialization strategy.

The program concludes with the LAUNCH competition in April 2017, where teams compete for LAUNCH Day prizes, a LAUNCH Day Grand Award of up to $25,000 investment and an opportunity to apply to the Arrowhead Innovation Fund for follow-on funding.

Inventors or teams who would like to apply, but do not have their own technology, may pick a patented NMSU technology to commercialize. To browse available technologies, visit arrowheadcenter.nmsu.edu/technologies.
