Children’s author to visit Glass Family Library at NMSU

WHAT: Author Karen Chase to visit Glass Family Library, read to children

WHO: NMSU College of Education

WHEN: 10:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. March 7, 2016

WHERE: Myrna’s Children’s Village, 4101 Sam Steel Way, Las Cruces, N.M., 88003

VISUALS: Karen Chase, the author of “Sammie and Toby are Dogs” and “Sammie and Toby are Friends,” will visit the Glass Family Library at Myrna’s Children’s Village for a book reading and signing. She will read to 3-year-olds at 10:15 a.m., and to 2-year-olds at 2:30 p.m. Chase will hand out copies of her first book, “Sammie and Toby are Dogs.” Her second book will also be available for purchase.

The children will participate in activities related to the themes of both books. Smoky Glass Torgerson, who has funded the Glass Family Library, will be in attendance.
