ACOMA – The fifth annual Acoma Resource Day will be from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 31, at the tribal auditorium, 33A Pinsbarri St. in the pueblo.
“New Mexico State University Extension specialists will provide information on horse care and cattle health,” said Joseph Garcia, NMSU Rural Agricultural Improvement and Public Affairs Program’s Ten Southern Pueblos agricultural agent. “This year, the Cibola County Extension office will provide a segment on 4-H programs and eating healthy.”
The free event is hosted by RAIPAP and Pueblo of Acoma’s Natural Resource Department. The pueblo will provide a free lunch for participants.
NMSU Cooperative Extension Service specialists and U.S. Department of Agriculture agents will make presentations on livestock and horse health issues, as well as USDA Farm Service Agency and Natural Resource Conservation Service resources and the Animal Identification Program.
